Elana moved to the beautiful Bay Area from the very cloudy Pittsburgh, Pa in 2012 to study acupuncture at AIMC Berkeley. Prior to diving into Chinese Medicine, she spent years in Boston studying Creative Writing and then another year practicing her Spanish while traveling in Argentina. Her interest in Chinese medicine first grew from her own healing experience. As a poor undergrad without health insurance, she found a sliding scale acupuncturist to help with her tendonitis (too much writing) and soon found that she needed healing from so much more. Through acupuncture, Elana loves helping people relax, breath and to remind them that their minds are still connected to their bodies. When not treating people, she enjoys writing, swimming, pretending to follow recipes, traveling and petting dogs on the street.
