As we’re heading into July, we’re pumped to be featuring a summer special to help support an incredible Oakland Institution, the ACCFB (Alameda County Community Food Bank). Since 1985, the ACCFB has been devoted to making sure families all over Alameda county have easy access to food. They rely on the power and compassion of local community to help ensure this happens, year after year. In addition to providing affordable acupuncture for all of you wonderful folks, we, at OAP are always looking for more ways to help contribute to our community’s health. As a new Punk, I feel lucky to be a part of a community that cares and goes beyond the mission of helping people heal and stay healthy with acupuncture.
This July will mark our 5th time hosting a food drive with the ACCFB and we’re striving to beat our record from last year of over 500 lbs of food! Summer break can be even more of a struggle for families and children who rely on their school’s lunches and we need YOUR help to make our barrels overflow! Bring in canned food, peanut butter, cereal, oatmeal, beans, pasta, and more! As a special thank you for keeping the food rolling in, OAP is discounting follow up treatments to $10 and waiving the new patient paperwork fee for anyone who donates to our food drive through the month of July. Help us feed our community!
