It has definitely been a test in patience. I never imagined I would be out of commission for so long. I had surgery in April for a dislocated ankle and broken fibula. I am SOOOO glad to finally get back to work. Physically, I still have a whole lot of healing left to do. It’s been a lot stiffer than expected, so taking a long time get back to normal activity levels. I am happy that I am again able to walk my dog, drive, and go food shopping for myself. Can’t wait to be out of pain, walk without limping, and not have to elevate my foot constantly. I am so grateful for help I received from family, friends, co-workers, and even strangers. I don’t know how I would have survived.
At least I am able to walk. Modern medicine can do miraculous things.
