September is Hunger Action Month

Support the ACCFB

Did you know that September is Hunger Action Month? We’re so lucky to have a local venerable organization that has been fighting hunger as its mission: the Alameda County Community Food Bank (ACCFB). They are working to ensure that our community has consistent and safe access to food.

We missed doing our food drive this year. Every year since 2013, we’ve done a summer food drive with the ACCFB. The barrels roll in and, with your help, are usually overflowing within a couple of weeks. In 2017 one of our clinics raised the 2nd most food of any organization with over 600 lbs of food donated. It was inspiring to see. The work of the ACCFB is now more important than ever. Consider helping them by donating to them directly. They are also in need of volunteers.
