Bring a Buddy Special: Frequently Asked Questions
One of the great benefits of community acupuncture is that treatments can be shared with your family and friends. We are happy to encourage this with our “Bring a Buddy” special. However, this special often brings up some questions and complications. With everyone coming in pairs, it can create a little bit of chaos. We work really hard to keep a zen environment while simultaneously providing quality care to a lot of patients. When our schedule is chaotic from drop ins and scheduling mistakes, it makes our job unmanageable. SO, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO SCHEDULE TWO CONSECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS (consecutive appointments are 10 minutes apart).
Q: What is the special exactly?
A: When you book two consecutive appointments (10 minutes apart) on the specified day or month, return patients pay only $15 each (another name is the 2 for $30 special).
Q: We heard about the special and we’d like to just drop in whenever. Is that cool?
A: No. Appointments are essential for this special so that we can adequately manage the flow of people without sacrificing quality of care. Also, no appointment means no discount.
Q: I’m coming in with my friend. Do I have to schedule two appointments?
A: Yes! You must book two consecutive appointments (10 minutes apart) to qualify for the special. If you do not schedule two consecutive appointments, you and your friend do not qualify for the special.
Q: Can I schedule for my friend in Schedulicity?
A: Sure. You can schedule two consecutive appointments (10 minutes apart) under your own name. When you are scheduling the 2nd appointment, there is a space in Schedulicity to make a note. Please make a note of your friend’s name here.
Q: My friend is NEW to the clinic, but I am a follow up. How should I schedule and how much do we pay?
A: You will need to book two consecutive appointments (10 minutes apart). One as a “follow up”, and one as a “New Patient”. New patients must pay full price at the time of booking. They can either pay $45 for one visit or $65 for the New Patient Special. When you come in for the treatments, the “follow up” buddy can pay $10 by cash, check, or credit card (this way you are still cumulatively getting the $10 discount). Just put a note with your payment stating that you brought in a New Patient for the special.
Q: I have an easy card. Can I use it for the special?
A: No. You must pay your $15 by cash, check, or credit card.
Q: I don’t see two consecutive appointments open on the schedule (consecutive appointments will be 10 minutes apart). I see two appointments but they are separated by a larger chunk of time. Can we just schedule two appointments at different times and come in whenever?
A: No. Please do NOT do that. Appointments must be made within 10 minutes of each other.
If there is only one appointment open on the scheduler, it means we only have time to do one acupuncture treatment during that time. If two people come in at that time, we will likely have to turn one of you away, as not doing so will cause us to fall behind which isn’t fair to the practitioner or the other patients. Q: Can we pay together?
A: Totally! For cash or check payments just pop $30 in the envelope with both of your names on the payment slip. For credit card payments, there is an option to pay for two separate patients in one transaction.
